Kar-Wai Wong/王家衛
Wong Kar-wai is a Hong Kong director, widely regarded as one of the most influential auteurs in Chinese-language cinema. Known for his distinctive visual style and nonlinear storytelling, he has created modern classics like In the Mood for Love, 2046, and The Grandmaster.
His films often explore themes of time, memory, loneliness, and missed connections. Using slow motion, voice-over, elegant composition, and emotional silence, Wong creates a cinematic world that is deeply poetic and emotionally resonant.

"There are no regrets in life, they are just words said out of anger. Life would be so boring if there were no regrets."
